Tonight in class we talked about presentation tools. We were introduced to edcanvas. Which is like PowerPoint. I think that I will try this one out. I like how it can be viewed anywhere, great for those students that go on vacation. I played around with edcanvas and really like how there are so many different options to import from, and they are all just right there on the side. What an easy think to use. We also had time to play around with some presentation tools. It was night to explore some of the recommended presentation tools. There are some fun things are there, can't wait to explore more.
Pecha Kucha-20 slides for 20 seconds. Love this. It forces the presenter to know about their presentation. This would be great for my fourth graders. So many times my students present, and they ramble, and ramble. This would shake it up, and as a teacher it would be so much easier to grade. Talk about mastered non-mastered standard based grading right there! Elementary school teachers would love this fo rthe new Canyons Report Card.
Haiku Deck, is an app. Photos are already loaded in. Create on the iPad. When you do share your presentation, it downloads to Haiku Deck's website. The only bad thing is that it only allows slides to show for five seconds, which is fast. If you show it straight form the app, or you are logged into you Haiku Deck then you can control speed. I like this, and want to make one for my school's PBIS!
