Tonight in class we talked about Dropbox. We learned how to favorite projects, which is wonderful. This will be so useful if I cam using something from Dropbox, and have favorited it and the internet goes down. I also learned how to delete from the iPad, genius!
In class we also created a group and made a website for our chosen Natural Wonder of the World. My group chose Angle Falls in Venezuela. As a group we created a googledoc, in googledrive. This was a great collaborative project. Since we did this project in google+ we were all able to edit it and add our parts. This would be so awesome to use in our classrooms. This could be used for group biographies, county reports, and animal reports. There are so many ways that you can use this when teaching the core.
This is so great! I can't wait to try this. Everyone will be assigned a job, just like we were, and they will all contribute. If they don't then the other members in the group are not penalized.
We also learned about google+ tonight. We have been learning a lot about google drive, but Kelly went on to explain more about google+. It is supposed to be a competitor with Facebook. We talked about hangouts which are pretty neat. It is replacing google chats. This would be fun to use in class as like a small blog. That is if google account were available for our students. I like the video componenet. This is nice if some one else does not have an apple devices, like Facetime requires.
